Scrapbookers Anonymous...

Hello Everyone!  How in the world did it get to be March already?!  Even with an extra day in February its here.  With the new month comes a new challenge over at Scrapbookers Anonymous.  The challenge this month is to "use stickers" on your layout.  When I first saw this challenge, it was exactly that.  A challenge!  I remember the days of sticker sneezing on my layouts.  :)  And really didn't think I used stickers very much anymore.  Well, I remembered seeing a layout once that used the frame of the actual sticker.  I would like to credit it to Stephanie Howell but I'm not sure if thats exactly right.  But I really liked the idea so I thought I would try it for this challenge.

So I cut out the frames of the sticker from their sheet and put them on my kraft paper.  Then pulled out my favourite...glimmer mist!  I misted my page with the stickers still on their backing and then carefully....oh so carefully....I pulled the frames of the backs and stuck them back on their spots on my page.

Funny thing is when I was done with my page, I realized that my letters were stickers too.  Soooo....I actually have 26 stickers on this layout!  :)  A beautiful photo of my favourite 8 year old, a few floating butterflies and some of my beloved twine and my page was done.   I was really happy with the end result.

I hope you'll play along with the sticker challenge at Scrapbookers Anonymous.  Maybe you're like me and have stickers in your stash you don't know what to do with.  Take this challenge to look at them in a new light.  Make sure you link up your project to the blog for the chance to win a prize and so I can check them out.

Happy Crafting!!  :)

  1. Amazing page Lydia!! This technique looks really awesome and definitely gives your stickers some style! I always have a hard time using stickers too. I really love the way your photo stands out on the kraft and the loopy twine across you page!
